Today on our 2012 Subaru Impreza, we'll be installing the Glacier Tire Chains, part number PW1038. Now, our tire size on this Impreza is a 205-50 R17. These tire chains are perfect for the occasional use. They will feature a rugged steel wiring covered with case-hardened steel rollers. The spring rollers are wrapped around sturdy wire across cables and they're designed for passenger vehicles with limited wheel well clearance. They work on either front or rear wheel drive vehicles. Note that this is a full-time, all-wheel-drive vehicle so chains should go on all four tires. more

Today were working with a 2008 Subaru Legacy GT with 215-45-17 tires. Were going to be test fitting the Thule Self-Tensioning snow tire chains, part number th00204090. Before mounting the chains make sure to check the owners manual of your vehicle for further information about using tire chains. Well take our tire chain and lay it flat. We need to feed the blue cable around the backside of our tire. We want to make sure that the yellow end is on the right hand side of the tire as we face it. more

Today were working with a 2008 Subaru Legacy GT. It has 215 by 45 by 17 tires and were going to be test fitting the Pewag Sportmatik Self-Tensioning snow tire chains, part number pwsmx69. Once weve taken the chain out of the box we need to prep it for fitting onto our tire. Be sure to check the owners manual of your vehicle for further instructions about tire chains. We need to take the socket and separate it according to the direction of the arrow stickers. Next we need to take the two tensioners on the chain, toggle them into the open position and pull the slack all the way out of the tensioner. more

Thule CG9 Snow Tire Chains Review - 2008 Subaru Legacy

Today on our 2008 Subaru Legacy GT with 215 / 45 R17 tires, well be test fitting the Thule Self-Tensioning Low Profile snow tire chains part number TH00023090. First well lay out the chains and make sure everythings in order. Then well take the blue plastic coated cable side and feed it around the inboard of our tire. Well lift it up to the top of the tire and hook the cable stop back into the keyhole. Well connect these two pieces of chain together here. We can move out a couple lengths to take out some extra slack in the chain and well use this plastic clip to secure the excess then we can center the chains on our tire. more
